Section 8B
Cannot be hired or appointed under contract

(1) No one shall be allowed to appoint any person on a wage or contract basis for the work to be done by the employee. However, doctors or health workers who are qualified in any position in the health service may be employed in contract service in the following cases:-
(a) in the case of a medical practitioner or health worker on study or extraordinary leave during the period of study or extraordinary leave,
(b) Any position in the service has become vacant for any reason and the demand form has been sent to the Public Service Commission but the position has not been filled.
(2) If someone appoints or arranges for a person contrary to sub-section (1), the amount of salary, allowance and other benefits received by the person so appointed shall be collected from the appointing official as well as government dues.
