Rule 48
Training
: (1) The basic training to be completed by the armed police personnel and the professional training required for promotion to higher positions and the evaluation method thereof shall be as per schedule-11.
(2) Any armed police officer who has not passed the basic training shall not be a potential candidate for promotion and shall not be eligible to participate in the professional training.
(3) The armed police personnel from the armed police jawan to the deputy inspector general of the armed police will be given a maximum of five marks for compulsory training under professional training and a maximum of eight marks for in-service training. But marks for training of less than fifteen days will not be counted.
(4) According to sub-rule (3), when giving points for in-service training, a maximum of eight points will be given at the rate of four points for each training of any two groups under in-service training.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (4), separate marks shall not be calculated for training in more than one subject of the same group for in-service training. However, if a group has received training in more than one subject, the points of the training with the highest score should be calculated.
(6) When calculating the marks of any training taken at home and abroad, the marks of the second grade will be given.
