(1) In addition to the medical expenses to be received according to sub-rule (1) of Rule 85, based on the recommendation of the Medical Board constituted by the Government of Nepal, for the treatment of an employee or his/her spouse in the service of the Legislature-Parliament, at home or abroad, the amount deemed appropriate by the committee on the recommendation of the following committee Additional financial assistance will be given as:-
(a) Secretary General – Chairman
(b) Legislature – Secretary of Parliament – ​​Member
(c) Secretariat Secretary – Member
(d) Secretary to the Ministry of Finance – Member
(e) Senior Medical Officer designated by the Ministry of Health – Member
(f) Chairman of Employees' Union - Member
(2) The committee under sub-rule (1) when recommending funds for additional financial assistance, in case of serious illness, will recommend a maximum of five lakh rupees according to the bill of the amount incurred during treatment. Explanation:- For the purpose of this rule, 'Critical Disease' shall refer to diseases related to kidney, heart and cancer.
