Rule 82
Salary

(1) Employees who are newly appointed to positions that are paid according to the fixed salary scale will receive the initial salary written in that salary scale.
(2) An employee who is promoted to a post in a higher salary scale will get the initial salary specified in that salary scale. But if the salary he is currently getting is equal to or more than the minimum salary of the above salary scale, his salary will be determined as follows:-
(a) If the salary he is currently getting is only equal to the initial salary of the upper salary scale, one salary increase will be added to that salary.
(b) In the event that the salary he is currently getting is higher than the starting salary of the promoted post, when determining the salary of the promoted post, one salary increment of the higher post will be added to the salary until it reaches the current salary.
(3) The starting salary scale of the employees working in the Legislature-Parliament service will be the same as the employees of other government services of the Government of Nepal.
