Section 178
Procedure to be followed on release of detainee or prisoner
(1) If a detainee or prisoner is to be released according to the court's decision or order, the reason for his release, full name and address of the prisoner or detainee and details of the case shall be sent to the concerned prison.
(2) After receiving the order as per sub-section (1), the concerned prison shall immediately release the detainee or prisoner in accordance with such order.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-sections (1) and (2), the detainee or prisoner who is to be released according to the judgment or order shall be released immediately after being found to be present in the court and the notification thereof shall be given to the relevant prison.
