(1) If the registration certificate is lost, torn, falsified, incomprehensible or destroyed for any other reason, the owner of the vehicle must submit an application to the authorized officer within fifteen days from the date of occurrence, attaching the prescribed fee in the prescribed format.
(2) Upon necessary investigation on the application made as per sub-section (1), if found to be correct, the authorized officer shall give a copy of such registration certificate to the owner of the vehicle.
(3) In accordance with sub-section (2), the authorized officer shall give the notification that the copy of the certificate of registration has been issued to the concerned police office.
