Rule 57
Distance Education Committee
(1) There shall be a Distance Education Committee consisting of the following members for formulating, coordinating, monitoring and managing policies related to distance education:-
(a) Secretary to the Ministry – Chairman
(b) Joint Secretary, Ministry (Division of Higher Education and Educational Management) – Member
(c) Executive Director, Educational Manpower Development Center – Member
(d) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology – Member
(e) Director General of the Department – Member
(f) Director General, Curriculum Development Centre, Ministry – Member
(G) One member nominated by the Ministry from among the educational institutions conducting distance education (h) Representative, Teachers Union, Central Committee – Member
(i) Director, Distance Education Division – Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of the member nominated as per sub-rule (1) shall be three years.
(3) The Secretariat of the Distance Education Committee will be located at the Education Manpower Development Center.
(4) The procedure for the meeting of the distance education committee shall be as determined by the committee itself.
