Section 3
Formation of Devghat Area Development Committee

(1) A committee named Devghat Area Development Committee will be constituted for the social, economic, religious and cultural development of Devghat area.
(2) The committee under sub-section (1) shall have the following chairman and members:-
(a) Person appointed by the Government of Nepal – Chairman
(b) Members of Parliament from Tanahun, Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts related to Devghat area – Member
(c) Chairman, Chitwan District Development Committee – Member (d) Chairman, Tanahun District Development Committee – Member (e) Chairman, Nawalparasi District Development Committee – Member
(f) Chief, Bharatpur Municipality – Member
(g) Chairman, Devghat Village Development Committee, Tanahun – Member
(h) Chairman, Gaindakot Village Development Committee Nawalparasi – Member
(i) Chief District Officer, District Administration Office, Chitwan – Member
(j) Chief District Officer, District Administration Office, Tanahun – Member
(k) Chief District Officer, District Administration Office, Nawalparasi – Member
(l) Head, Mail Office, Tanahun – Member
(d) District Head, Building Office, Chitwan – Member
(d) District Forest Officer, District Forest Office, Nawalparasi – Member
(n) Representative, Ministry of Education, Culture and Social Welfare – Member
(p) Representative, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation – Member
(th) Six persons at the rate of two from each district nominated by the Nepal government from social workers, intellectuals and local eminent persons of the district related to Devghat area - members
(d) Executive Director – Member – Secretary
(3) The term of office of the Chairman and nominated members shall be two years and they may be re-nominated.
(4) If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, it may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and make necessary additions, reductions or changes in the members of the committee.
(5) The main office of the committee will be at Devghat in Tanahun and contact offices can be opened in other places as per the need.
