(1) The Chief Information Commissioner or the Information Commissioner shall be given daily and visiting allowance as follows while visiting Nepal in the work related to his position:-
(a) Daily allowance :-.Five hundred rupees
(b) Touring Allowance :–
(1) According to sub-rule (1) if accommodation is required while going on a visit, the Chief Information Commissioner and Information
Commissioner shall be given hotel expenses for each night not exceeding one thousand two hundred rupees as per the hotel bill registered for the purpose of taxation for a maximum of seven days at a time. .
(2) The Chief Information Commissioner and the Information Commissioner, if they are entitled to additional travel allowance in accordance with the prevailing law, for visiting a district in a remote area, they shall also receive the same.
(2) Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner will be given US$ 175 per day and travel allowance when traveling outside Nepal to participate in various functions, festivals, conferences, etc. on behalf of the Government of Nepal. But if you spend the night in places other than Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Dhaka and Chittagong in Bangladesh, only fifty percent of the rate will be given.
(3) According to sub-rule (2) when traveling outside Nepal, the person receiving daily allowance according to this regulation shall be given the full amount of the daily allowance for the day of departure and in the case of the day of return from the visit, only half of the daily allowance received for the day before that day.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), if the chief information commissioner or the information commissioner is going to participate in a ceremony, festival or conference and the entire expenses of the information commissioner are borne by a foreign government or organization, he shall receive twenty-five US dollars per day as out-of-pocket expenses. /p>
