Rule 6
Duties, Duties and Powers of Election Officer

(1) In addition to the duties, duties and rights mentioned elsewhere in the Act and these regulations, other duties, duties and rights of the Election Officer shall be as follows:-(a) To publish the list of polling stations received from the Commission in his office, (b) To do as required by the office of the Election Officer Appointing Assistant Election Officer and other staff, (c) According to Clause (b) of Rule 5, appointing Polling Officer, Assistant Polling Officer and other auxiliary staff to the polling station based on the information received from the Office of the Chief Election Officer, (d) Ballots provided by the Commission and other election materials, (e) providing orientation to the assistant election officer, polling officer and assistant polling officer on election and voting related procedures, (f) providing election materials including ballots received from the commission to the polling officer, (g) Coordinating with the local administration for the necessary security arrangements for the polling station and counting place and the staff employed in that work, (h) Monitoring, inspecting and supervising the voting process in the polling station by deploying various mobile teams on the day of the polling, (j) After the polling process is over, Keep safe the ballot boxes received at the place designated for counting, (j) Count the votes after collecting the ballot boxes from all the polling stations in the respective constituencies, (k) After the counting process starts, inform the counting place from time to time about the results of the counting and send the details to the commission, (l) ) Announcing the election results after the completion of the vote counting process, (d) After the election is completed, sending the results to the Election Office, the Chief Electoral Officer and the Commission, (d) Submitting the remaining election materials received from the polling officer to the Election Office, (n) Mentioning in the financial guidelines approved by the Commission. To record and keep accounts of expenses as required, (h) To conduct an internal accounting audit of all election-related expenses and submit all related details to the Commission, (h) To conduct election supervision.To make necessary arrangements to make the position and dignity, (d) To carry out all the work in accordance with the election program under the prevailing legal system and the orders or instructions given by the Election Commission from time to time. It will be the duty of the Assistant Election Officer to assist the Election Officer.
