Rule 20
Electoral Representative

(1) Candidates can appoint an election representative to do the work on their behalf in relation to the election. (2) According to sub-rule (1), a person must have the following qualifications to be an election representative:-(a) a citizen of Nepal, (b) twenty-five years of age. Completed, (c) whose name is included in the last existing voter list of a rural municipality or municipality in accordance with the Voters' Roll Act, 2073, (d) to be read, (e) clauses (b), (c), (c) of section 12 of the Act Not disqualified as per d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (j) and (j), (f) not disqualified by other prevailing laws. It will be as follows:-(a) Representing the candidate in voting, vote counting or other election-related activities, (b) Typing as a candidate's representative on various bills to be prepared during voting, vote counting or other election-related activities, (c) Elections are free, fair, and reliable. (4) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the candidate shall give written notice to the election officer that he has appointed an election representative. (5) After receiving the written notice in accordance with sub-rule (4), the election officer shall issue an identity card to such election representative.
