: (1) During the inspection or investigation according to section 20, any licensee and direct seller or distributor of goods has seriously violated this Act or the rules made under this Act or has committed an act that will seriously affect the rights and interests of consumers, the inspection officer may take legal action. If recommended to the department, the department may suspend the license of such licensee for a specified period.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if a case is filed under section 39, the license of such licensee shall be automatically suspended.
(3) In accordance with sub-section (1), the licensee shall be informed that the license has been suspended.
(4) During the period of suspension of the license as per sub-section (1) or (2), such licensee shall not be allowed to carry out activities related to direct sale or distribution of goods in accordance with this Act.
