Rule 141
Suspend

(1) If a teacher has to be examined in any matter before the order of punishment is given, the officer authorized to punish him may suspend him. Generally, the suspension should not exceed three months.
(2) A teacher who has been arrested and detained on criminal charges involving moral turpitude shall be deemed to have been automatically suspended for the duration of such detention. The teacher who is suspended in this way will not get the salary allowance for the period of suspension.
(3) If a teacher is reinstated in his post or is no longer employed, his suspension shall be deemed to have ended.
(4) If a teacher is suspended according to sub-rule (1), he will get only half of his salary while under suspension. However, if the charges are not proven and a teacher is acquitted, if he has received half salary during the period of suspension, then he will receive half salary, and if he has not received such half salary, he will receive full salary.
