Rule 70
Pension
: (1) Armed police personnel who have worked in the armed police service for twenty years or more shall get pension from the date of retirement. However, the following armed police personnel who were appointed before 2060.12.26 will get pension if they work in the armed police service for the following period or more, if they leave their job:-
(a) From Assistant Inspector of Armed Police to Senior Deputy Inspector of Armed Police – Eighteen years
(b) From Constable of Armed Police to Senior Constable of Armed Police – Sixteen years
(2) The calculation of pension to be given as per sub-rule (1) shall be as follows –
(a) In the case of Gazetted Armed Police Officers:- Year of service X Last salary 50
(b) In the case of gazetted and unranked armed police personnel – Year of employment X Last pay 40
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (2), the minimum amount of pension shall not be less than half of the initial pay scale of an armed police officer holding the same rank and the maximum amount shall not exceed the initial pay scale of an armed police officer holding the same rank.
(4) In the event of the death of an armed police officer who has completed fifteen years of service, his family will be allowed to choose whichever pension or gratuity they wish to receive by adding the period necessary to complete the service period required for pension.
(5) The armed police personnel dismissed from the service due to disqualification for future government service will not get pension according to this rule.
