Section 2
Definition
: In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board.
(b) "Establishment" means any firm, company or organization producing or distributing goods or services and the term also refers to any subsidiary or affiliated firm, company or organization under the direct or indirect control of such firm, company or organization.< br> (c) "Board" means the Competition Promotion and Market Protection Board as per section 12.
(d) "Bid" means a proposal submitted by any person or establishment in the format prescribed by that organization or agency, sealed and sealed in the format prescribed by that organization or agency, in accordance with the notice of such organization or agency, when any organization or body buys any item, performs construction work or repairs the same or takes any service. It should be remembered that the word refers to the details with the price per unit and the documents related to it or the price list with the rate.
(e) "Advertisement" means information made publicly for the purpose of marketing or promoting a product or service.
(f) "Member" means a member of the Board and the term also refers to the Chairman and Member-Secretary of the Board.
(g) "Agreement" shall mean an enforceable or non-enforceable agreement, contract, arrangement or understanding between two or more persons or establishments, whether written or oral or by conduct, to do or not to do anything, and the term shall mean between such persons or establishments Refers to the decision or recommendation.
(h) "Court" means the commercial bench of the court appointed by the Government of Nepal after consultation with the Supreme Court and published in the Nepal Gazette.
(i) "Market Protection Officer" means Market Protection Officer as per Section 22.
(j) "Sales price" means the price received for the production or delivery of a product or service, any type of rent, insurance, fee, interest rate, exchange rate, premium or any other similar amount.
(k) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
