Section 18
Punishment
: (1) A person or establishment who commits the following acts shall be punished as follows according to the amount of the offence:-
(a) If action is taken contrary to section 3, 4 or 5, such action shall be canceled and the person or establishment who caused such action shall be fined up to five lakh rupees,
(b) If an action is taken contrary to sub-section (1) of section 6, such action shall be canceled and the person or establishment causing such action shall be fined up to three lakh rupees,
(c) If an action is taken contrary to section 7, a fine of up to one lakh rupees shall be imposed on the person or establishment who causes such action to be taken,
(d) If any action is taken contrary to section 8, a fine up to fifty thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person or establishment who causes such action to be taken,
(e) If an action is taken contrary to section 9 or 10, a fine of up to twenty-five thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person or establishment who causes such action to be taken. (f) Apart from what is written in clauses (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e), a fine of up to ten thousand rupees shall be imposed on any person or establishment who causes to take action contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act.
(2) If a person or establishment convicted under sub-section (1) commits any offense under this Act again, such person or establishment shall be fined double the fine imposed under that sub-section.
(3) If the action as per sub-section (1) is done in accordance with any agreement, such agreement shall also be void.
(4) If anyone is found to have given a false complaint with the intention of causing harm or suffering to any person or establishment, he shall be fined up to ten thousand rupees.
