Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act,-

(a) “Council” shall mean the Nepal Nursing Council established under section 3.

(b) ) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Council.

(B1) "Vice-Chairman" means the Vice-Chairman of the Council.

(c) "Member" means a member of the Council and that word Also refers to the president and vice president.

(D) “Nurse” means a person who has obtained a degree, diploma or certificate in nursing from an educational institution recognized in accordance with this Act.

(D1) “Midwife ” means a person who has obtained a degree, diploma or certificate in midwifery from an educational institution recognized in accordance with this Act.

(e) “A.N.M. (Assistant Health Nurse)” means an A.N.M. from an educational institution recognized under this Act. (Assistant Health Nurse) shall mean a person who has obtained a certificate.

(E1) “Nursing professional” shall mean nurses, midwives and midwives.

(f) "Registered Nursing Practitioner" means nurses, midwives and midwives whose names are registered in the registration book. (h) "Registrar" means the person appointed or designated in accordance with section 13.

(h1) "Educational institution" means nursing, midwifery and (i) "specified" or "as specified" means the regulations made under this Act. or should be remembered as prescribed.
