In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Board" means the National Tea and Coffee Development Board established under section 3.
(b) "Committee" shall mean the Executive Committee constituted as per Section 8.
(c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(d) "Member" shall mean a member of the committee and the term shall also refer to the chairman, vice-chairman and member secretary of the committee.
(e) "Executive Director" means the Executive Director appointed or appointed in accordance with section 14.
(f) "Processing" means the processing of green tea leaves and coffee beans by any mechanical process.
(g) "producer" means a business person who produces tea or coffee.
(h) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the regulations made under this Act.
