Rule 11
Project handover conditions
According to rule 10, the Government of Nepal should keep the following conditions in addition to other conditions when handing over a project:-
(a) The transferred structure cannot be mortgaged or transferred to any other person except by way of sale, donation, speculative lease or agreement or in any other way,
(b) The structure cannot be destroyed, damaged or replaced, but, with the prior approval of the relevant irrigation office handing over the project, it cannot be replaced and reused for the purpose of carrying out necessary repairs and maintenance. Can be sold or transferred in any other way.
(c) No activity of any kind which results in reduction of irrigation water or degradation of water quality,
(d) Except as otherwise provided in this regulation, the quantity of water used by the consumer shall not be reduced (e) No other person or organization shall be entrusted with the operation.
