The functions, duties and powers of the Council shall be as follows
(a) Under the national agricultural policy, to formulate necessary policies to conduct agricultural studies and research.
(B) Setting priorities for agricultural studies and research.
(c) Approve the annual program and budget necessary for agricultural studies and research.
(d) To approve the structure of the organization of the office of the council and the staff positions.
(e) To review the agricultural research works in Nepal.
(f) Identifying the problems related to agriculture and making suggestions to the Government of Nepal to formulate a national agricultural policy.
(g) Giving necessary instructions to the committee.
