(1) There will be a council to organize the necessary programs to achieve the objectives of the organization in an orderly manner and to supervise and manage all the activities of the organization.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in this Act, the Council shall exercise all the rights and duties of the organization subject to this Act or the rules and regulations made under this Act.
(3) The Council shall consist of the following Councillors:-
(a) Ten members elected by the chartered accountant members from among themselves (b) Four members elected by the registered auditor members from among themselves (c) Three members nominated by the Government of Nepal on the recommendation of the Auditor General from among the persons with accounting experience. (4) The councilors will elect the chairman and vice-chairman from among the councilors as per clause (a) of sub-section (3).
(5) The term of office of the chairman and vice-chairman shall be one year and after the expiry of the term of office, they may be elected for one more time.
(6) The term of office of councilors shall be three years and after the expiry of the term of office, they may be re-elected or nominated.
(7) The procedure for the election of councilors will be as prescribed.
(8) The work, duties and rights of the chairman and vice-chairman shall be as prescribed.
