Section 10
Council meetings and decisions
(1) The executive director shall convene a meeting of the council on the date, time and place designated by the chairman.
(2) The meeting of the Council shall normally be held 6 times a year and the gap between two meetings shall not exceed three months.
(3) The meeting of the council shall be presided over by the chairman and in his absence by the vice chairman and in the absence of both the chairman and the vice chairman, the councilor elected by the councilors will preside over the meeting of the council.
(4) If twenty-five percent of the total number of councilors submit a written request to the chairman that it is necessary to call a meeting of the council, the chairman shall instruct the executive director to call a meeting of the council within fifteen days of receiving such request.
(5) If fifty percent of the total number of councilors are present, the quorum for the council meeting will be considered.
(6) In the meeting of the Council, the opinion of the majority shall be considered as the decision of the Council and in case of equality of votes, the person presiding over the meeting shall give the deciding vote.
(7) The decision of the Council shall be verified by the Executive Director (8) If the Council deems it necessary, it may invite any official of the Government of Nepal or any native or foreign expert, consultant or eminent person related to the accounting business to participate in the meeting of the Council as an observer.
(9) Other procedures related to the meeting of the Council shall be as determined by the Council itself.
