Rule 115
Family Pension

(1) If a teacher dies while in service or less than seven years after starting to receive pension, if such deceased teacher wishes to any member of his family, such person and the person who wished also dies or if no one so wishes, his next of kin will receive pension. But such pension will not be received for more than seven years and if a teacher dies before seven years of starting to receive pension, his family will not receive pension after seven years.
(2) If the widowed husband or widowed wife of a teacher dies before seven years have passed since his or her spouse was in employment or received a pension and is entitled to a family pension as per sub-rule (1), the period for receiving such pension shall be from the date of payment and if such pension is not received or his or her spouse If the teacher dies after seven years have passed since he started receiving the pension, he will get half of the amount of the pension he was entitled to for life from the date of his death. However, teachers who are getting pension according to this rule will not get double pension.
