Rule 147
Uniforms and other accessories
: (1) The color, type, quality and other details of uniforms of the Armed Police Force shall be as approved by the Government of Nepal on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Armed Police.
(2) The armed police personnel will be provided basic uniform (according to winter and summer season) and other items as mentioned in schedule-15 according to their rank.
(3) Every gazetted armed police officer will be provided ceremonial and tunic dress according to the season and the necessary items for the same based on the period of consumption.
(4) If the uniforms and goods distributed to the armed police personnel reach a certain period or are torn or broken due to special government work, they will be replaced as determined by the committee under sub-rule (6).
(5) In case of not being able to provide ready uniforms as per sub-rule (2) to armed police personnel, tailoring wages will be provided according to local rates.
(6) Notwithstanding anything written in the existing law, if some or all of the controlled goods in the armed police force are stolen during the armed police operation, or if they are unusable or unusable, upon the recommendation of the following committee, the Inspector General of Armed Police, if the amount is up to five lakh rupees and if the amount is more than that The Ministry may order to give minha, rot, melt, wash or auction:-
(a) Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police, Head Office, Works Department – ​​Chairman
(b) Head of Economic Administration Division, Head Office – Member (c) Gazetted Class II employees of the Ministry – Member
(d) Gazetted grade employees of the Comptroller General's Office – Member
(e) Specialist in the relevant subject designated by the Head Office – Member
(f) Head of Management Branch, Head Office – Memberbr> (g) Head of Bhandar Branch, Head Office - Member-Secretary Explanation: For the purpose of this sub-rule, "controlled goods" means the arms, ammunition of the Armed Police Force and the goods specified by the Head Office as controlled goods from time to time.
(7) If the government goods belonging to the armed police force are to be destroyed, melted, given away, washed or auctioned, it shall be done in accordance with the prevailing law.
(8) The Inspector General of Armed Police shall, on the recommendation of the Condemnation Committee formed in accordance with Rule 148, dispose of the spent bullets and explosives during the professional training of the armed police personnel and the annual moon march.
