Provisions relating to Rate of Return
Rectified Spirit or E.N.A. The production licensee shall pay a minimum of 65 O.P. per quintal of millet every month. At least 20 liters of rectified spirit or 19 liters of E.N.A. to be produced and the licensee producing anhydrous ethanol shall obtain a minimum of 72 OP per quintal of molasses in July of every month. At least 19 liters of ethanol should be produced at a rate of return. E.N.A. from 100 liters of rectified spirit. When made, there should be a minimum yield of 95 liters. From grain …………. 68.8 OP per quintal. At least 30.57 liters of power E.N.A. It has to be produced. Apart from that, in case of production from other goods, it will be as prescribed by the department. However, if the profit rate is lower than that, the licensee shall submit a reasonable and sufficient reason to the department and obtain approval, and if no approval is received from the department, the excise office will charge the entire excise duty levied by the industry towards the highest rate of its products in different quantities.
