(1) If the Chief Justice or Judge is pregnant, she shall be entitled to take maternity leave for ninety-nine days before and after the delivery. If desired, Vetalvi may take maternity leave for an additional six months without deducting from any leave.

(3) The leave as per sub-section (1) and (2) shall be taken continuously.

(4) ) The period spent on maternity leave as per sub-section (2) shall be added to the service period.

(5) While on maternity leave as per sub-section (1) the chief judge or judge shall receive full remuneration.

(6) The record of taking maternity leave should be kept by the Supreme Court and informed about it to the Judicial Council.
