Rule 51A
Maternity leave

(1) If the wife of a male employee is about to give birth, such an employee will be entitled to take maternity care leave for fifteen days before or after the delivery.
(2) Employees on maternity leave will get full salary.
(3) An employee who has taken maternity leave must submit the birth certificate to the office within thirty five days from the date of taking such leave.
(4) The period of such leave of the employee who does not submit such certificate within the period as per sub-rule (3) shall be deducted from the other leave he is entitled to.
(5) The record of maternity care leave should be updated by the relevant office.
