Section 27

Maternity leave

(1) If a judge's wife is about to give birth, such a judge may take maternity leave for fifteen days before or after the delivery.

(2) A judge on maternity leave will receive full salary.

(3) Maternity care leave will be given only twice during the service period.

(4) A judge who has taken maternity care leave must submit the child's birth certificate to the working court within three months from the date of taking the leave.

(5) If the judge does not submit such certificate within the period as per sub-section (4), the period of such leave shall be deducted from the other leave he is entitled to. The information should be given to the Judicial Council.
