(1) If the chief justice or the wife of a judge gives birth, such chief justice or judge shall be entitled to take maternity leave for fifteen days before or after the delivery.

(2) Maternity leave The Chief Justice or Judges on leave shall receive full salary.

(3) Maternity leave shall be granted only twice during the period of service.

(4) Chief Justice or Judges who have taken maternity leave. The child's birth certificate must be submitted to the Supreme Court within three months from the date.

(5) The Chief Justice or Judge who does not submit such certificate within the period as per sub-rule (4) shall have the period of such leave deducted from the other leave he/she gets.

(6) The updated records of maternity care leave shall be kept by the Supreme Court and the same shall be reported to the Judicial Council.
