: The establishment and arrangement of Kathmandu Valley Development Authority to provide necessary services and facilities to the general public and to maintain the health facilities and economic interests of the general public through planned physical development as well as reconstruction, expansion and development of the cities in the perspective of increasing population and urbanization in Kathmandu Valley. As it is desirable to do, Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev has made this Act with the advice and consent of the National Panchayat. 1. Brief Name and Commencement: 1.1 The name of this Act is "Kathmandu Valley Development Authority Act, 2045". 1.2 This Act shall commence from the date specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
