Section 2
Definition

2.1 Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act, - 2.1.1 "Authority" means the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority established in accordance with Section 3. 2.1.2 "Physical development plan" means the physical development plan formulated as per Section 5 and approved by the Government of Nepal. 2.1.3 "Plan Area" means the Kathmandu Valley Development Plan Area as mentioned in the schedule. 2.1.4 "Committee" means the Kathmandu Valley Physical Development Committee constituted as per Section 13. 2.1.5 "Board of Directors" means the Board of Directors constituted as per Section 14. 2.1.6 "Development Commissioner" means the Development Commissioner appointed under sub-section 17.1 of section 17. 2.1.7 "Appeal Committee" means the Appeal Committee under Section 23. 2.1.8 "Land" means any piece of land and also houses, buildings, lakes, ponds, trees, etc. permanently situated on it. 2.1.9 "Building" means a building or house constructed for residential, office, industrial, commercial or any other use and the term also refers to warehouse, shed, shed, garage, shed, wall or any part thereof. 2.1.10 "Service facilities" means roads, roads, open spaces, parks, recreation grounds, playgrounds, water, electricity, telephone, sewerage, schools, hospitals, etc. 2.1.11 "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules or regulations made under this Act.
