(1) To act as an academic and academic body of the University, there shall be an Academic Council consisting of the following members:-

(a) Sub- Vice-Chancellor Chairman

(b) Registrar Member

(c) Deans Member

(d) Five members from among the chairpersons of various subject committees of the university

(e) Head, Curriculum Research and Development Center Member

(f) Heads of University Research Division, Planning Division and Coordination Division Member

(g) Two members from among senior professors

(h) Four members from among campus heads

(i) Two members from among the distinguished scholars

(j) A person appointed by the Vice-Chancellor from among the Deans as Member-Secretary

(2) Other than the ex-officio members, the nomination of other members will be done by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Executive Council.

(3) The term of office of the nominated members will be three years.

(4) The procedure for the meeting of the Academic Council will be as prescribed. And unless so designated, the academic council itself will determine the procedure for the meeting.
