6.1 In addition to the work, duties and powers written elsewhere in this Act, the work, duties and powers of the Authority shall be as follows:- 6.1.1 Dividing the planning area into different land-use areas, 6.1.2 Determining the necessary conditions for physical development in the land-use area and specifying the methods of construction to be done in such area, 6.1.3 Proper development and maintenance of any religious, cultural and historical heritage in the planning area subject to the prevailing Nepal laws regarding ancient monuments. 6.1.4 Create and implement the necessary project for the natural and environmental protection of the planning area, 6.1.5 Set conditions for the construction and other activities in the forest, river, ghat and water areas and cause them to act accordingly. Prohibiting the use of natural resources, 6.1.6 Creating and implementing land development programs and building construction projects in the land use area as specified in the Physical Development Plan, 6.1.7 Other as per the instructions given by the Government of Nepal from time to time in accordance with the Physical Development Plan. To perform actions. 6.2 It shall be the duty of the authority to work in coordination with the agencies of the Government of Nepal and other related agencies while carrying out operations in accordance with this Act.
