Rule 54
Secretariat of the Promotion Committee
: (1) The secretariat of the Promotion Committee as per the following shall be done by the following office:-
(a) The work of the secretariat of the promotion committee under clauses (a) and (b) of sub-rule (1) of rule 39, Ministry,
(b) The work of the secretariat of the promotion committee as per clauses (c) and (d) of sub-section (1) of rule 39 by the head office.
(c) The work of the secretariat of the promotion committee as per clauses (e) and (f) of sub-rule (1) of rule 39, by the relevant Regional Armed Police Office.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in clause (c) of sub-rule (1), in case of promotion of a police employee working in a position below the rank of deputy inspector of armed police working directly under the head office of the police or if there is a situation in which the work related to promotion should be done from the head office as per this regulation. The secretariat of the promotion committee will be located at the head office for the purpose of promotion related work.
