Rule 43
Criteria and Procedure for Promotion
: (1) The promotion committee shall make recommendations for promotion to armed police personnel on the basis of performance evaluation.
(2) The division of the total marks for the evaluation of the efficiency of the armed police personnel shall be as follows:-
(a) For performance evaluation – forty marks
(b) For seniority – twenty marks
(c) For working in geographical area – eight points
(d) For educational qualification – seven marks
(e) Talim Wapat – Thirteen Marks
(f) For challenging/special responsibility – five points (g) For Bibhushan (Honours, Decorations and Medals) – Two points
(h) For the marks awarded by the promotion committee – five marks
