Notwithstanding anything contained in Section 26, an employee shall not be a prospective candidate for promotion during the following period in the following cases:-
(a) For suspension during the period of suspension,
(b) During the period of suspension for suspension of promotion,
(c) In case of suspension of pay increment during the period of suspension,
(d) ………
(e) An employee whose name registration has been suspended by the health-related professional council formed in accordance with the prevailing law, throughout the period of such suspension.
(e1) Throughout the period of extraordinary leave,
(f) Throughout the service period which has been increased according to sub-section (2) of section 45.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), after the publication of the notice of promotion of any employee, clause (a) of the said sub-section and
In case of suspension as per clause (e) or suspension of promotion or suspension of salary increase as per clause (b) or (c), his promotion appointment will be suspended for such period and after the expiry of that period, if he is not suspended or withheld, promotion appointment will be given and only seniority will be maintained.
