(1) A person appointed to the position of a judge shall return to his position and take charge within one month of his appointment. He will get remuneration and facilities only from the date of his assumption of office.

(2) If a judge fails to assume the duties of his office without reasonable cause within the period specified in sub-section (1), his office shall be deemed to be automatically vacant.

( 3) A judge who is transferred from one court to another will be given a maximum of seven days for preparation.
