Section 15
Leave
(1) Officers of constitutional bodies may get the following leave with full remuneration:-
(a) Festival holidays and holidays falling on Bhaipari,
(b) Home leave,
(c) Sick leave,
(d) Kiriya leave,
(e) Special leave.
(2) Officials of constitutional bodies will be allowed to take 6 days of annual leave and 6 days of festival leave every year.
(3) Officials of constitutional bodies shall be entitled to home leave at the rate of one day for eleven days of their working period. Home leave can be accumulated up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty days. When determining the working period for the purpose of home leave, the days of public holidays and public holidays will be added to the working days.
(4) Officials of constitutional bodies who have accumulated more than one hundred and twenty days of home leave may receive a lump sum payment of up to thirty days of home leave accumulated up to the end of the month of Chaitra every year at the rate of wages they have received by the end of the same financial year. .
(5) Officials of constitutional bodies can get sick leave at the rate of fifteen days every year. Any amount of such sick leave can be accumulated. If a doctor's certificate is submitted for a serious illness, if there is no sick leave left, he/she can get unpaid sick leave for up to two months with pay and after taking additional sick leave with such pay for an additional four months at a time and not exceeding twelve months throughout the service period. However, when taking additional sick leave with pay, home leave will be deducted at the rate of one day for every two days of additional sick leave.
(6) If the official of the constitutional body has to sit in office himself, at most, he will look at clan religionHe will be allowed to take a kiriya leave of up to fifteen days.
(7) Officers of constitutional bodies may get special leave as follows and such leave shall be with half salary:-
(a) not exceeding one month at a time, and
(b) not exceeding three months in total throughout the period of service.
(8) If a person in a constitutional position or in the service of the Government of Nepal is appointed to the position of an officer of a constitutional body, he shall not be deprived of his right to accrued leave while in that position or service.
(9) If the office bearer of the constitutional body retires from his position, he will be entitled to receive a lump-sum amount due to the leave accrued according to sub-section (3) at the rate of salary that he has lost from the position he holds.
