If an insured item cannot be delivered to the addressee due to any reason, the item shall be kept at the post office for a specified period and if it cannot be delivered to the addressee within that period, the item shall be shipped from the post office from which the insurance and postage were deposited. It will be sent back to the sender without receipt through the same post office. If any such postal item is sent to be returned to the sender and for any reason the item cannot be returned to the sender, where will it be sent to the postal director.
