: Since it is desirable to provide insurance against loss or damage of items transported by post within Nepal and to provide compensation in case of loss or damage of such items, this Act has been enacted by Shri 5th Maharaj Adhiraj Mahendra Veer Bikram Shahdev in accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal.
