(1) Chairman and members of the Board who have personal interest in any matter discussed in the meeting of the Board shall not be allowed to participate in the meeting held on that matter.
(2) After receiving the list of topics to be discussed in the meeting, if there is a topic in which the chairman of the board or any member has a direct or indirect interest, he shall inform the member-secretary of the board that he will not participate in the said meeting by self-declaring that he has such interest.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in Section 7, the Secretary of the Ministry shall preside over the meeting of the Board in the event that the Chairman of the Board cannot participate in the meeting due to the circumstances under Sub-section (1).
