Section 40
Meeting and decision of the board
: (1) The meeting of the board will be held as required.
(2) The meeting of the Board shall be held on the date, time and place specified by the Chairman of the Board.
(3) If more than fifty percent of the total number of members of the board are present, the quorum for the meeting of the board will be considered to be reached.
(4) The meeting of the board will be presided over by the chairman of the board and in his/her absence, the vice-chairman will preside over the meeting, and in the absence of the vice-chairman, the meeting will be presided over by a member chosen from among the members present at the meeting.
(5) In the meeting of the board, the opinion of the majority will be valid and in case of equality of votes, the member presiding over the meeting will give the deciding vote.
(6) The decision of the board will be certified by the member-secretary of the board.
(7) The board may invite the relevant experts or officials to participate in the meeting of the board as observers.
(8) Other procedures related to the meeting of the Board shall be as determined by the Board (9) Chairman and members of the board will receive the meeting allowance as prescribed by the Government of Nepal for participating in the board meeting.
