Rule 43
Functions, Duties and Powers of Secondary Education Pass Examination Committee

(1) The work, duties and powers of the Secondary Education Passing Examination Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To lay down policy regarding the conduct of examinations,
(b) To determine the basis for designating the examination center,
(c) conducting the examination,
(d) Registration for the examination, application form and determining the fees for the examination,
(e) Determining the remuneration and allowances of the persons involved in examination-related work,
(f) To publish the results of the examination and arrange for giving certificates to the passed examinees,
(G) Take necessary action against teachers and staff who violate the rules related to examination (h) In case of irregular activity in any examination center, cancel the examination and re-examination as required or close such examination center,
(j) To make necessary decisions immediately if there is an obstacle to conducting the examination or publishing the examination result at the specified time due to natural calamity or any other reason,
(j) to prescribe the work, duties and rights of the chief examiner, examiner and question paper makers,
(k) After six months of the publication of the results of the examination, washing the answer book following the regular procedure.
(2) The examination committee may form a sub-committee or task force and hand over some of the powers it has received according to sub-rule (1) to that sub-committee or task force or to any official.
