(1) If any goods seized in connection with an offense punishable under this Act, if kept in possession for a long time, are liable to rust or damage due to any other condition, or if they become rotten, or if they become old and depreciate in value, or if they are neglected or due to lack of space, If it cannot be done or cannot be kept, such goods can be auctioned after completing the procedure according to the prevailing law.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the income received from the auction sale shall be deposited in the guarantee account. If it is decided to return such goods to the respective owner, he will get back only the amount received from the auction sale.
