Section 22
Qualities of Conciliators
(1) The following persons shall be eligible to be conciliators:
(a) Nepali citizens,
(b) having completed twenty-five years of age,
(c) At least graduation from a recognized educational institution,
(d) having undergone training for a specified period of time on conciliation,
(e) located at the host address,
(f) Not having been convicted by a court of law on criminal charges involving moral turpitude,
(g) Not falling under the debt of the creditor, and
(h) whose name has not been removed from the list of conciliators on account of any act contrary to this Act.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in clauses (b), (c) and (d) of sub-section (1), the parties have proposed a person to be a conciliator, even if the conciliator has not been trained, a person who has completed twenty-five years of age and is going to study general writing shall be a conciliator. will be eligible.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in clause (a) of sub-section (1), there shall not be any hindrance to a foreign national being a conciliator when resolving a dispute involving a foreign person or a dispute in accordance with a contract with a foreign person.
