: (1) The National Public Health Committee will be formed to make policy suggestions regarding the inclusion of public health issues in the policies and programs of thematic areas to address the broad social determinants of health that affect human health.
(2) The composition of the committee will be as follows:-
(a) Minister, Ministry of the Government of Nepal dealing with health matters - Chairman (b) Minister of State/Assistant Minister, Ministry of the Government of Nepal in charge of health matters - Co-Chairman (c) Member, National Planning Commission (Looking at health related topics) -Member
(d) One person nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the Vice-Chancellors of the Academy of Health Sciences - Member (e) Secretary, Ministry of the Government of Nepal dealing with industry related matters - Member (f) Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal - Member (g) Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Nepal - Member (h) Secretary, Government of Nepal Ministry of Water and Sanitationsp; -Member
(j) Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Nepal - Member (j) Secretary, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport of the Government of Nepal - Member (k) Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens of the Government of Nepal - Member (l) Secretary, Ministry of Forestry and Environment of the Government of Nepal - Member (d) Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal - Member (M) Secretary, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of the Government of Nepal - Member (N) Secretary, Ministry of Health of the Government of Nepal - Member (p) Chief Expert, Ministry of Health, Government of Nepal - Member (r) Chairman, one nominated from among the councils concerned with health - member (d) the Chairman shall appoint from among the health expertsA member of the policy (d) Two members, including one woman, nominated by the chairman from among the directors of private health institutions. (N) One person nominated by the President from among the officers of the association concerned with the protection of consumer interest - member. (P) Head, Policy Planning and Monitoring Division, Ministry of Health and Population of the Government of Nepal - Member Secretary (3) The term of office of the members nominated in accordance with clauses (d), (th), (d), (d) and (n) of sub-section (2) shall be three years
(4) The committee may invite other experts to the meeting as required.
(5) The meeting of the Committee shall be held at least twice a year.
(6) The Policy Planning and Monitoring Division of the Ministry of the Government of Nepal, which deals with health and population issues, will act as the secretariat for the daily work of the committee.
(7) The procedure of the committee shall be as determined by the committee itself.
