Section 10
Formation of the National Cooperative Federation
: (1) The following organizations or associations may form the National Cooperative Federation among themselves to promote good governance in the cooperative sector based on the values, beliefs and principles of cooperatives:-
(a) More than fifty percent of the District Subject Cooperative Unions constituted as per Section 4,
(b) More than fifty percent of the District Co-operative Societies constituted as per Section 5,
(c) More than fifty percent of the province-specific cooperative associations formed according to section 6,
(d) More than fifty percent of the State Co-operative Societies constituted under Section 7,
(e) More than fifty percent of the Central Subject Co-operative Union formed as per Section 8.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the National Co-operative Union registered at the time of commencement of this Act shall be deemed to have been converted into a National Co-operative Federation in accordance with this Act.
