Rule 60
Work, Duties and Rights of Liquidator
: (1) The work, duties and rights of the liquidator of a co-operative society whose registration has been canceled in accordance with section 10 of the Act shall be as follows:- (a) To pay the amount due from the dissolved co-operative society. To recover the remaining amount from the assets of current or former members or deceased members of the organization in accordance with rule 30 and rule 32,
(b) If any amount due from a creditor is due to the dissolved cooperative society and it has not been transferred to the accounts of that organization, issue a notice to such creditor to claim that amount within this period or to claim that such amount should not be distributed until it is proved that the amount is due. ,
(c) To decide, if any question arises as to which of the creditors should be given priority,
(d) To give necessary instructions regarding the collection and distribution of the assets of the cooperative in the process of dissolution of the cooperative, (e) To make a settlement between the two parties regarding the claims made by the cooperative or against the cooperative,
(f) call a meeting of the members if deemed necessary for dissolution,
(G. Taking charge of the account books, documents, writings and assets of the cooperative organization,
(h) Sale of property of co-operative society,
(i) - Prepare a plan for distributing the equity of the cooperative organization in consultation with the stakeholders and distribute it.
(2) When using the right under sub-rule (1), the liquidator may, if he deems it necessary, make the party, opposition, witnesses and any employee of the association appear before him to obtain the necessary information regarding the formation, work, duties, property or other matters of the cooperative organization.
