Rule 154
Name of school

(1) Schools can be named after significant contributions to the society and the nation or after historical figures, gods and goddesses, places of pilgrimage or natural resources that reflect Nepaliness.
(2) If a person who wishes to name a newly opened school in his own name contributes the following amount or house or land to the school, then the school can be named in the name of the person who provides such support:-
(a) a house or land worth thirty five lakh rupees or its equivalent for a secondary or higher secondary school,
(b) house or land worth twenty lakh rupees or its equivalent for lower secondary school,
(c) house or land worth ten lakh rupees or its equivalent for primary school.
(2a) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), in the case of schools within the metropolitan area and sub-metropolitan area, twice the amount mentioned in that sub-rule or the equivalent amount of house or land and in the case of schools within the municipal area twenty-five percent additional amount or the equivalent amount of house or land if the school is supported. The name of the school can be named after the person who helps.
(3) A person who wants to name a school by adding it to the name of a school that has already been named, can add the name he proposed after the previous name by supporting the school with the amount as per sub-rule (2) or (2A) or an equivalent amount of house or land.
(4) If more than one person of the same family or separate family donates money or house or land to the school as per sub-rule (2) or (2A), the school can be named after the names of up to two people by the decision of such persons and the names of other persons can be displayed in the school.
(5) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (2), (2A) or (3), the name of such school shall not be changed even if any person contributes money or house or land in accordance with this rule to a school named after a person, monument or historical object. . But any person helps such school to add classrooms, build a library building or a dormitory cThe name of the person who provides the amount in such room or building can be named in Re.
(6) According to this rule, the name of the school shall be done by the Ministry on the recommendation of the Management Committee, Village Development Committee or Municipal and District Education Committee.
