Rule 146
Fees and deposits to be collected by the school

(1) Subject to Rule 147, the school shall be entitled to collect fees and deposits from the students as follows:-
(a) Monthly Tuition Fee,
(b) Annual fees for sports, extracurricular activities, laboratory, maintenance, library and first aid, not exceeding two months tuition fees in total,
(B1) Enrollment fee not to exceed the monthly tuition fee of the class to be enrolled for the first time in the school
(c) Miscellaneous Charges –
(1) Examination fee,
(2) Computer fees,
(3) Transfer Certificate Fee,
(4) Special training (judo, martial arts, swimming, singing, dancing) fees,
(5) Accommodation charges,
(6) Transportation charges,
(7) Meal charges.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in clauses (a), (b), (b1) and (c) of sub-rule (1), students studying at the primary and lower secondary levels of community schools and students studying at the secondary level of community schools as per rule 152 Such fees cannot be charged to students.
(3) The institutional school will be allowed to take a deposit amount equal to one month's tuition fee and such amount must be returned immediately if the student leaves the school.
(4) The school shall not collect any fee for more than twelve months in one academic session.
(5) The school shall be entitled to charge the fee as per sub-rule (1) only when the student using such facility has availed that facility.
